FroMus Design and Drafting, LLC is a new company whose owner has over 14 years experience in residential design, drafting and estimating. Together with a subcontractor who can claim over 35 years experience in designing, drafting, estimating, consulting and construction sales, we form a solid design team. Engineering is available from several local engineering firms on a subcontract basis, if required.
Completed projects include Ranches, Capes, Colonials, Bungalows, Cottages, Custom Single Family, Duplexes, 2-Family Condos, Additions, Renovations, Porches, and Decks.
The owner has additional experience in Kitchen Design and Manufactured Housing drafting.
The main office is located in Wales, Maine; for the convenience of customers in the greater Portland area, FroMus also maintains an office in Yarmouth, Main (by appointment only). Meetings are generally held at one office or the other. The preliminary
meeting for additions is usually a site visit to measure and photograph
the existing structure.
Plans are drawn on DataCAD CADD software and printed on HP printers (24x36 and 11x17 sizes are typical although any size is available). Plan packages include sets of full-size (1/4" scale) prints, a set of 11x17 prints (many municipal building departments require a reduced set for their files) and a CD which includes all pages in a standard file format in both sizes. The CD can be used by any large-format printing service to make extra plan copies.
